ENDOLOG

DEVICE FOR MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGICAL CORRECTION OF HALLUX VALGUS

Distal osteotomies of the first metatarsal allow correction in all three planes of the structural deviations typical of hallux valgus.

Distal osteotomies exhibit similar biomechanical characteristics, the most important of which is the ability to change the position of the metatarsal head in all three planes of space.

Endolog system is proposed for the mini-invasive surgical treatment of hallux valgus deformity correction using the surgical distal osteotomy technique.

The main feature of the system is referred to the curvilinear component composed of three sizes which, when introduced  into the canal after metatarsal osteotomy, is opposed to three distinct points: on the lateral cortex with regard to the apex of the curvature near the proximal metaphysis with regard to the distal part of the plant and surface lateral of metatarsal head for the flat plate-shaped plant, ensuring a excellent stability in absence of rotation or tilting in the metatarsal canal.

The angular stability screw, introduced in the metatarsal head through the hole of the plate of the nail is the final element locking in stability of the implant.
